How can I create an announcement message in the chat?

Question: 
Is there a way to create a message that each new user, once entering the chat, will see first? (like an 'announcement' message in a Facebook group)?


Solution: 

1. We do have the possibility to adjust and customize the "Home" page under Admin UI → Layout → Content → "Content of home page", which is shown to people who are logging into a Rocket.Chat instance: 





2. You can add the Announcement to any channel on the server - it will be visible to all the users joining the channel. To do that: open the channel -> click on the "i" icon -> click on Edit -> Announcement -> add the text and save changes. 
 





3. Alternatively, you can also have a dedicated broadcast channel (for example #announcements) and invite all users in there. Because it's broadcast they will only receive messages and won't be able to write.
